Big changes on the next sweep
We check for alerts right after each source updates, within about 15 minutes of a new filing reaching us. A big change on a symbol you follow — a large short move, an insider’s first buy in a month, a large Congress trade, or a filing that clashes with the Quiet Money read — is emailed on the first sweep after it reaches us. Smaller changes come together in one email the same evening, instead of waiting for Friday.

How fast is fast
Honestly: as fast as the source lets us be. We read the SEC’s daily index each morning, the House Clerk each weekday, and the German and Swedish short registers twice a weekday — and sweep for alerts within about 15 minutes of each of those reads. So a big change reaches Pro minutes behind us (smaller ones wait for the evening email), and we are behind the registrar by whatever their publishing schedule is. Nobody can be faster than a document that has not been published, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
